Lend a Hand by Knowing about Local Resources
On any given day, you, your neighbor, friend, co-worker, or client could be seeking help, possibly for the first time, and have no idea where to look. We recommend the following starting places to locate resources for most needs (food, shelter, counseling, employment assistance, elder care, legal help, and more).
Guides to Community Resources and Services
Yamhill County Community Care provides a comprehensive guided to community resources in Yamhill County, Polk County, and more, for the purpose of addressing the multifaceted needs of individuals and families and fostering their well-being. The guide is available in English and Spanish.
The following resource guide, published by the Housing Authority of Yamhill County (HAYC), lists area resources according to appropriate categories such as meals, children’s services, medical, addictions, and much more. The guide was last updated in 2022, so some resources may no longer be available, or options may have changed. Click below for more information.
Note: This guide does not list Give a Little as a resource, since we are not a frontline agency. However, many times our help will be solicited on behalf of local people by agencies in Yamhill County that ARE listed and can meet with clients and process their applications.
